Badakhshan lapis has been mined for 6,000+ years, and this material comes from the same region used by ancient Egyptians and Renaissance painters. This piece is flat on the base and sits well for display. The surface is glossy, and the blue shifts a little in different light. Many buyers use pieces like this as a mineral specimen, collector item, or for meditation. It is traditionally associated with the third eye.
